Our principal Lewis BeaverKongiganak: Seeing Lewis Beaver walk down the hall is a normal sight in our school. We have been seeing it since 2012. That’s going to change. Lewis Beaver and his family are moving out of Kongiganak.

Lewis Beaver, with his wife, his wife’s
parents and his six kids are moving to Manokotak, AK. Mr. Beaver is going to be their K-12 principal starting in the Fall of 2017, Mr. Beaver will finish the school year as our principal here through the end of May or the beginning of June. He will miss Kongiganak. Mr. Beaver likes being around subsistence living, specifically the hunting and gathering.

He said he likes the people and the interaction that he gets to have with everybody every day here. Mr. Beaver stated that it is good when the kids come back to Kongiganak to be teachers and principals. He would like to see more of that happening here. Before he was a principal he was a teacher. Lewis Beaver likes to watch students graduate and grow into successful adults.
